Christie’s Auction House, New York (I sigh that it’s not the London based auction around the corner from me) is holding a specialised sale to coincide with the 40th anniversary of ‘Earth Day’ (April 20th) benefiting eco-friendly charities and featuring some of the biggest names in fashion…
This sale named ‘The Green Auction: A Bid to Save the Earth’ will be hosted by my fave site Charitybuzz.com and will consist of over 200 lots, all deliciously stylish making any fashion-hungry Fashionista drool!
Some of the most exciting lots have to be… A lunch date with Vera Wang herself, followed by a trip to her boutique with a $10,000 (over £6,000) gift certificate to boot!
There is also a Gucci package going under the hammer including two one-of-a-kind Gucci handbags, a vintage 1960s Bamboo bag from the Gucci archive in Florence and a new Bamboo bag designed and customised exclusively for the Christie’s sale!!
If that wasn’t enough, the ‘Gucci Package’ also includes 2 tickets to the Spring/Summer 2011 women’s runway show in Milan, squeal! You can expect these lots to make mega bucks for one very lucky bidder, sigh.
