STAR LOTS - ITEMS FROM SHERLOCK HOLMES, DR WHO AND ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS GO UNDER THE HAMMER...

Here at LWS we love a good celeb fashion auction, so when we heard that outfits worn by Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley in the cult BBC sitcom Absolutely Fabulous went under the hammer, we just had to share it with you…

The Ab Fab outfits were sold for more than £1,000 at Cameo Auctions in Berkshire, also included in the sale were costumes from Poirot, the TV detective series, and items worn on set of Alien 3.

A Dr Who coat sold for to an avid collector in Cornwall for £500 and props used by actor Bob Hoskins in the film ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’ were also up for sale. It’s a shame that Jessica Rabbit’s siren-red dress was not up for grab! (Yes, we’re aware she’s fictional but still!)

Some Sherlock Holmes costumes were also auctioned off, so all in all quite a star studded sale.
