SCARLETT JOHANSSON'S DRESS MAKES MORE THAN KATE MOSS'S LANVIN NUMBER AND GIRLS ALOUD'S NICOLA ROBERTS HAS HER CUSTOM MADE FROCK GO UNSOLD!

The Creative Coalition, THR and Screen Media Films Reception At Cannes - 2009 Cannes Film Festival

As promised i have some exciting sales results from yesterday's auction at Kerry Taylor which raised over £5,000 for charity with their ‘Dress Me Up’ sale in partnership with Topshop

Fashion lovers and enthusiasts came from far and wide to bid on exciting celebrity-owned/designer dresses donated by highstreet fave Topshop. The items were sold in a bid (no pun intended) to raise money for Help the Aged and Age Concern.

Some of the top selling lots were Scarlett Johansson’s Nanette Lepore leopard print shift dress (lot 25) with an estimate of £200-£300 it made above and beyond fetching £550. A great buy for the lucky winner!

Kate Moss’s 2003 Lanvin cocktail dress (Lot 14), which was the most publicised of the sale, made a little less than Scarlett Johansson’s on the day at £500. A great price for a Lanvin frock especially with the added kudos of it being worn by one of the world’s biggest supermodels!

Peaches Geldof’s Dolce & Gabbana rose-print dress (Lot 23) reached its high estimate of £250 but poor Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts had her custom made fringed tour ensemble go unsold! Perhaps her style isn’t so enviable after all...

It’s seems we missed out on some bargains though as singer Little Boots had her 1970s royal blue jersey dress auctioned off for only £80 and The Hills Star Whitney Port’s own label cocktail dress only reached £70!

Speaking about the sale Kerry Taylor, auctioneer, commented “It was interesting to see that Scarlett was more popular than Kate on the day!”
